About ISOFS

The DOE Office of Science has asked the Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee (FESAC) to assist in defining a major new initiative which would be sponsored jointly by the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences and the Office of Advanced Computer Science Research. The FESAC is working with the Advanced Scientific Computing Advisory Committee (ASCAC) to respond to this request. The initiative is in Integrated Simulation and Optimization of Fusion Systems and will be planned during the calendar year 2002. Further information about the initiative can be found in the charge letter below. Information about this initiative will be posted on this site as it becomes available. In addition, this site will be used to obtain community input (see link below).
